Wheels for transporting concrete slabs

In concrete production and prefabricated slab production, different types of wheels are used. For example, you can think of cast iron, cast nylon, Polyurethane or Vulkollan Polyurethane wheels.

Wheels made of different materials

When it comes to transporting concrete slabs through the plant, fully cast iron wheels are usually used. These wheels can be custom made within a range of 200 to 600mm in diameter. Are you looking for a cheaper alternative? Then you can choose cast nylon wheels. However, the disadvantage of these wheels is that they are less wear resistant. When the wheels are used as part of a production line, wheels made of polyurethane are mainly used.

Which wheels are best suited?

Fully cast iron wheels, hard cast nylon wheels or steel rollers are particularly suitable for this application. Powdered concrete causes the running surface to dry out. In the case of PU or rubber wheels. This will shorten the life of PU or rubber wheels. For very intensive applications, wheels made of Vulkollan Polyurethane are most suitable.

Custom

For your application

When a wheel is not in our range and also not in the standard range of our suppliers, customization is an option. It may be that you are not satisfied with the current wheels. For example, you want to innovate or produce more cheaply. We apply customization particularly when there is a specific demand for functionality. A wide range of wheels are suitable for this application. You can think of cast iron, cast nylon, polyurethane or Vulkollan polyurethane wheels, but also different sizes. We will help you find the right wheels for your specific application.

From inventory to suitable solution

We establish what the application is and how the wheels will be used. We also look at the problem. Why are the wheels breaking down or wearing out too fast? Or are the current wheels too expensive for the application? Konijnenburg can provide an economic solution without having to compromise on quality and durability. This doesn’t always require a new design process. The solution can also be volume import or specialized import. Customization does not always have to be about large volumes. Even if you only need two or three pieces of a certain wheel, customization is an option.
